Auditions for the Company are now closed.

Dancers of all colors, genders, and ages are encouraged to Audition. 

 

These positions are still available:
1. The 3rd Coast Contemporary Dance Program is a partnership between WH&D and CMC that offers affordable training and professional performance opportunities to dancers ages 17 to 26.
Classes and rehearsals are M,W, F from 10:00am to 1:30pm.

Program begins September 12. There are currently 3 positions available and scholarships opportunities are also available.

2. CMC Scholarship Award includes the opportunity to train in ballet, modern, contemporary, and more with Chicago’s best dance instructors. Award includes 10 classes per week, coaching, and more. Classes available Monday thru Friday, 10:00am to 1:15pm. CMC Scholarship recipients can start anytime, even as early as February 2. Here's what you can expect at our in-person Auditions:
1. Dancers should be ready to dance at 5:00pm or so. We will not teach a class.
2. When you arrive, you'll sign-in and fill out paperwork.

Here's how our Auditions generally proceed:
1. You'll earn an adagio combination, and perform it in groups of 4.
2. You'll learn a jump combination, and perform it in groups of 4.
3. You'll perform a simple 90 second improv in groups 4.
4. Approximately 8-12 dancers will be invited to stay and learn two duets from Company repertory.((Th
