3rd Coast Contemporary Dance Program

The 3rd Coast Contemporary Dance program offers experienced dancers a chance to train, rehearse, and perform with a professional dance company in Chicago. The program is dancer centered, and and offers professional dance classes in a range of techniques and styles, including Modern, Contemporary, West African, Hip-Hop, Ballet, and more.
The 3rd Coast program also provides opportunities to understudy and fill future Company Dancer vacancies, and start or expand your connection to the amazing Chicago dance community. Performances are paid, and other Chicago-area opportunities for performing and teaching are available. The 3rd Coast program is presented in partnership with the Chicago Movement Collective (CMC).

Mon., September 14 - first class & rehearsal
Schedule
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
10:00am to 1:30pm
Program includes

4-6 professional dance classes, and 4-6 hours of rehearsal per week with Company Dancers

A minimum of 3 paid opportunities to perform

Regular evaluation sessions with Artistic Director Winifred Haun and Program Director Julia Schaeffer

Choreographic opportunities and mentorship available

Training in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, West African, Hip-Hop, and more

90% of the dancers who have participated in the program have booked professional opportunities with Chicago-based companies and choreographers.
Tuition: $550 per month for 9 months ($4950)
Discount available if full year is paid by September 11
Deposit: $550 due by June 13, 2026
