We are so excited to announce that the premiere of Trashed, our amazing new work, created in collaboration with Australia’s Emma Serjeant Performance, will be Saturday and Sunday, March 18 & 19, 2017.
Check back soon for more updates. In the mean time, you can learn more about Trashed and see photos and videos here.
We are so excited to show you excerpts of “Trashed,” a work-in-progress, created during our recent trip to Australia! So, we’re having a public Open Rehearsal on:
Sunday, November 6 at 4:30pm
Lou Conte Dance Studio
Tickets: $6, Buy on-line or at the door
1147 W. Jackson, Chicago
(Street parking usually available.)
“Trashed” was created in collaboration with renowned Australian circus artist, Emma Serjeant, during a two week residency at Circus Oz, a Melbourne circus arts organization. This will be the first public viewing in the US of this work-in-progress!
“Trashed” is a completely new movement tour-de-force that combines Modern Dance with Contemporary Circus to tell the story of how humans have to come to clutter their lives with too much stuff, and how all that stuff keeps us from each other.
This Open Rehearsal will also present a solo by the amazing New York City based dance artist, Teresa Fellion of “BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance.”
There will be a discussion about each artist’s work, and their dance making process, and you’ll have a chance to respond, comment and give feedback on the works.
We are so thrilled to be in Australia! Rehearsals for our latest work, “Trashed,” began last week with our collaborators, Emma Serjeant Performance, at Circus Oz in Melbourne. We are having a blast working with Emma and her artists. And we’re actually finding a way to blend contemporary dance with Circus. The results are amazing.
